This site is written by Rebecca Naughten. I live vicariously through books and films but I’m now more likely to be found in the garden than the cinema. Between 2003-2009 I undertook (and completed) a PhD in Film Studies – on stardom in contemporary Spanish cinema – but ultimately decided that academia was not for me. In 2011, I started writing a blog called Nobody Knows Anybody about cinema originating from Spain.
This new incarnation of Nobody Knows Anybody (version 2.0) – started in 2015 – broadens the focus beyond that long-held interest in Spanish cinema.
End of 2024: The different categories of links (reviews, recommended sites, and other things) that I set up in the sidebar have all disappeared, and I can’t see a way of reinstating them. For that reason, I’m going to put the ones that linked to my writing elsewhere below.
