Rebecca lives vicariously through books and films in the wilds of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Between 2003-2009 she undertook (and completed) a PhD in Film Studies – on stardom in contemporary Spanish cinema – but ultimately decided that academia was not for her. However, realising that she thinks things through by writing about them – and that she still wanted to think about Spanish cinema – in 2011 Rebecca started writing a blog called Nobody Knows Anybody about cinema originating from Spain.

This new incarnation of Nobody Knows Anybody (version 2.0) maintains that long-held interest in Spanish cinema (in the form of several ongoing projects) but also investigates cinema from elsewhere in the world.
